Built for Australian UGC creators

Every brand deal,
done properly.

Connect Gmail and waffel reads the brand‑deal threads already sitting in your inbox — then turns them into a contract with the terms that actually matter, an e‑signature, payment, and a tax‑ready record. One flow, start to finish, without retyping what you already sent.

The problem

Your deals are real work. Your tools aren’t.

Brand deals are contracts with specific, repeating terms. Nothing on the market treats them that way — so creators end up stitching four tools together and hoping.

01

The freelance tools don’t speak UGC

Bonsai, HoneyBook and Dubsado handle contract → signature → invoice well — for photographers and consultants. There’s no field for usage rights duration, no whitelisting window, no exclusivity clause, no Reel‑vs‑Story deliverable. The terms that make a brand deal a brand deal simply aren’t there.

02

The creator platforms aren’t Australian

Built around US and EU sponsorship workflows, skewed toward big‑ticket B2B newsletter deals. No GST handling, no ABN, no concept of an Australian financial year — and no answer for the UGC and whitelisting deals that make up most AU creator income.

03

The tax tools don’t know what a deal is

Hnry and friends handle sole‑trader tax properly, but they start at the invoice. No contract, no negotiation, no usage‑rights tracking, nothing for the brand to sign. Your deal only exists once the money has already moved.

“An Instagram DM, a Canva rate card, a PayPal invoice, and a folder of screenshots for the accountant in July.”

01 — Deal builder

Priced per platform, the way you actually quote.

Start from a UGC template, not a generic services agreement. A Reel isn’t a Story and neither is a TikTok, so each one is its own line with its own rate — editable right up until the brand signs.

  • Deliverables by platform — Reel, Story, TikTok, static, blog
  • Line items you can edit before sending, and after they counter
  • Rates saved so you stop quoting from memory
  • GST applied per deal, not bolted on later

The rights clock nobody else is watching.

A usage window is an asset with an expiry date. When a brand’s 90‑day whitelisting period is about to lapse, that’s a renewal conversation — and right now almost nobody is having it, because almost nobody is tracking it.

Waffel watches every deal you’ve signed and tells you before the window closes.

Where Waffel sits

The gap everyone else left open.

Three good categories of tool. None of them at the intersection where an Australian UGC deal actually lives.

How it works

From DM to signed deal,
in one flow.

01 / 03

You build the deal.

Deliverables per platform, your rate, usage rights, whitelisting window and exclusivity. Two minutes in a template built for UGC, not a Google Doc you rewrite every time.

02 / 03

The brand signs it.

They open one link in a browser — no account, no app. They read the terms, comment if something needs changing, and e‑sign. Both signatures timestamped against the deal.

03 / 03

You get paid, and logged.

Payment settles through Stripe straight to your account. The deal writes itself into your income log with GST, ABN and date already sorted, ready to export in July.

Questions

The things you’re about to ask.

Is this live yet?

Not yet. We’re building the first version now and talking to Australian UGC creators while we do it. Join the waitlist and you’ll be in the first group through the door.

Does waffel actually read my email?

Yes, if you connect Gmail — that’s the whole point. We read the brand‑deal threads in your inbox so you don’t have to retype terms you already sent, and we use that access only to identify and track deals inside waffel. We don’t read it for advertising, sell it, or use it to train any AI model, and you can disconnect access at any time. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Do brands need an account?

No. They get a link, review the deal in their browser, sign, and pay. No sign‑up, no app, no password reset email two days before a shoot.

Does this replace my accountant?

No, and it isn’t trying to. Waffel gives your accountant a clean, complete, export‑ready record of every deal instead of a year of screenshots. What they do with it is still their job. Waffel doesn’t provide tax or legal advice.

How does payment work?

Through Stripe Connect. The brand pays from the deal link and it settles to your account — we don’t hold your money in between.

What if I’m not registered for GST?

That’s fine and it’s common. GST treatment is set per deal, so your invoices and your income log stay correct either way.

Is the e‑signature actually binding?

Yes — both parties sign, and every signature is timestamped and stored against the deal record as an audit trail.

I only do a couple of deals a year. Is this for me?

Probably not yet. Waffel is built for creators running brand deals as a real income stream — several a month, enough that the admin has become its own job.
